Sourcing Analyst

The Access Reporting Analyst will be responsible for analysis and reporting required to support Sysco’s sourcing activities. This role will require exceptional analytic skills along with a working knowledge of MS Access Database design and management. This position will work directly with the Sourcing Team leads, Category Operations and Business Centers. The Access Reporting Analyst will be responsible for gathering and validating all necessary data.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Be knowledgeable and capable of accessing Sysco’s data relevant to the sourcing process using MS Access database query and reporting tools. This includes validation of all raw data files received from internal departments, suppliers and outside resources2. Perform data analysis using MS Access data templates defined in the sourcing process3. Develop ideas leading to continual improvement to the business decision process at Sysco relative to sourcing4. Responsible for the development of ad hoc analysis to support the sourcing process5. Responsible for supporting Business Centers, Category Operations, Operating Companies and other users of pricing data6. Conduct surveys, gather information and analyze the resulting data.JOB SPECIFICATION: 1. Bachelor's degree is required.2. 2 years of professional working experience.3. Experience in Microsoft Access Database development required.4. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel 5. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Power Point6. Skilled in data structures, SQL, database access and reporting7. Experience with Business Objects a plus8. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills9. Thorough knowledge of statistics and quantitative analysis techniques, (e.g., spreadsheet modeling, regression analysis)10. Strong written and oral communication skills.
