Training Director

OTG Management is currently looking for a high energy Training Director with a high regard for customer service, to join our team.

 

ALL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE CURRENT NEW YORK EXPERIENCE

 

Restaurant Positions

· Training Director

TRAINING DIRECTOR – Job Description

Supports their Area Directors in all aspects of training. Communicates training priorities to Regional director

Reports to: HR director

Management Development:

 - MIT orientations with AD when available

 - MIT evaluation follow up / progress

 - Work at least 1 "Open" shift with an MIT during training

 - Tracks feedback & MIT program development

 - Develops modules for management development

 - Conduct certifications

 - Criterion for Manager and team leader

 - TL Development Handbook

 - Teaches and updates ServSafe classes / database on renewals

 - Assists with TL and Manager conferences

 - Management interviews when necessary

Crewmember Development:

 - Conducts Trainer Certifications when needed

 - Develops and maintains the train the trainer program

 - "Owns" the crew training program

 - CIT schedules and trainer coordination

 - Develop Unit training coordinators to train crew

 - Maintains and updates training library

 - Assist AD with roll outs

 - Works with Team Leaders to hold BOH Area meetings to assist managers in culinary organization and execution

 - Assists with Team Leader conference

 - Maintains Trainer Status for terminal

Openings:

 - Assists with preparation of team lists for openings

 - Schedule coordination of trainees and classrooms

 - Assesses performance of Training Team Leaders – give evaluations

 - Develops and prepares trainers for opening

 - Assist AD in interviewing & sign off for new team members

Job Requirements

· Minimum of 5-7 years experience in fine and/or casual dining

· Pass a Federal Background check

· Provide own transportation to and from work
