JOB DETAILS
Assist in defining user requirements and external design documentation for Point of Sale (POS) applications. Analyze, design, code review and test moderate to complex application programs using IBM 4690 BASIC. Ability to coordinate software changes with off site vendors, including project status, deliverable dates and defect corrections. Strong desire to learn additional technical skills to support other projects. Ability to work independently or as part of a team; strong analytical abilities to trace and understand end-to-end business processes.
REQUIRED
· Strong analytical skills necessary to solve problems, analyze trends, and make proactive recommendations.
· Associates Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or its equivalent
· Four to five years relevant retail software development experience with demonstrated achievements and progressive responsibilities
· Experience using IBM 4690 SuperMarket application
· Ability to coordinate multiple projects with outside vendors
· Ability to work independently
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED
BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
