ACCOUNTANT /  BOOKKEEPER for Luxury Retail Company.



WANTED: Ingenuitive, meticulous accountant/bookkeeper who enjoys challenges and thrives in a rapidly growing, multi-business environment. Help grow a 35 year old luxury retail furniture, fine linens and accessories business.  Our offices are in Allen Texas.

REASON FOR JOB OPENING: we are opening additional stores.



JOB TASKS:Prepare month-end Financial StatementsMonitor A/P and A/R processes Perform end of month close activities Prepare GL account reconciliations and analysisProcess semi-monthly payroll and related payroll tax filingsSales and Use Tax reporting

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:3-5 years previous accounting experienceDegree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of training, experience and proven knowledge/abilitySuperior computer skills required including Microsoft Office/ExcelMust have excellent communication skills with internal and external customers Must have a positive and helping demeanorFlexibility and attention to detail is very important!

.  Experience of retail store and /or wholesale accounting a plus.
