As an Associate Control Buyer you will be responsible for monitoring, planning and procuring inventory for a merchandising category or categories.  You will manage the business by tracking and analyzing sales information in order to identify opportunities to increase sales, improve margins, maximize inventories and decrease markdowns.  You will also be forecasting inventory requirements down to individual SKU level as well as providing input to other aspects of the merchandise planning and allocation process.

 

ASSOCIATE CONTROL BUYER

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Plan and monitor inventory and ensure sufficient stock is ordered and delivered to meet current and future sales demands, particularly on key and promoted categoriesManage purchase orders to ensure the best fill rate at the most advantageous cycle time  Own relationships with vendors to ensure stock allocations are received, that orders are received, confirmed and delivered on time and that any unavailable products are cancelledManage over-stocked and aged product lines in a profitable mannerForecast SKU level plans for distributors and vendors on a as needed basisInput into inventory plans, OTB, assortment plans and daily sales processes in conjunction with buyers to cover financial goalsManage business by tracking and analyzing sales information in order to identify opportunities to increase sales, improve margins, maximize inventories and decrease markdownsUnderstand and participate in company vision and core values


REQUIREMENTS:

 Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work are essentialAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and outside representatives necessaryProficiency with ExcelCollege degree in business, economics or related fields with 2-3 years of planning experience or equivalent work experienceOTB experience, merchandising systems and inventory procurement skills is a plusHigh integrity and support commitment to company core values and missionOutgoing people oriented and excellent communication skills with all levelsUnderstand the Brand
