Accounting Clerk

DHC Is seeking an Accounting Clerk located in San Francisco, CA.  This person will be under the supervision of the Controller and responsible for the following duties:

 

• Process incoming invoices and statements from vendors, prepare and post A/P vouchers, schedule and send outgoing payments

• Copy and code invoices and reports for monthly financial reporting packages for HQ
• Reconcile credit card and check deposits
• Collect and maintain incoming shipping data, including internal purchase orders and packing lists

• Maintain A/P files

• Assist in preparation of monthly sales tax returns

• Assist in processing various reports to management

• Provide clerical assistance and perform general office duties as requested

• Assist in ordering and maintaining fulfillment supplies, including labels, envelopes, letters, collaterals, and sample bags.

 

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least an A.A. in accounting or finance and at least 1 year prior working experience in accounting

• Has strong command of Microsoft Excel
• Experience with accounting software, especially PeachTree Accounting a plus

• Experience with process payroll preferred but not required.
• Is fluent and proficient in English, and has strong written and verbal communication skills

• Has good follow-thru and strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Is detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

• Has ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Is eager to learn
• Is able to maintain a positive attitude working with a broad range of people
