Accounting Manager / Controller (TEMPORARY)

 

GameFly, the leading subscription-based video game rental company is looking for a Temporary Accounting Manager/Controller in our Culver City, CA headquarters. This position will report to the CEO and last approximately four months to cover a maternity leave.

A. Specific ResponsibilitiesSupervise a staff of three, two accountants and one AdminReview weekly Accounts Payable CheckrunReview bi-weekly payrollConduct Month End Close processesReview Monthly filing of Sales taxesPrepare monthly Financial Reports



B. Experience5+ years work experience, including the preparation of financial reports and supervising accounting staffKnowledgeable in GreatPlains and ADP PayExpertUndergraduate degree required; CPA a plus

 C. Personal Characteristics and Skills

 Strong excel skills High degree of self-motivation, discipline and an ability to work independently Commitment to the highest standards of personal and professional integrity
