Accounts Receivable Administrator/Freight Accountant

The leading seller of fitness equipment on the internet is looking for an Accounts Receivable Administrator/Freight Accountant.

 

Responsibilities

 

Accounts Receivable:

Ensure accurate and timely application of customer payments into the systemFollow the policies and procedures regarding the processing of customer invoices and cash receipts.Ensure that customers are properly approved for credit by performing necessary credit checks and updates as required.Order entry.Contact customers for past due amounts and other items that require resolution.Forecast cash receipts based upon aging reports and customer history.Reconcile credit card settlementsEnter all Sales returns and creditsFollow policies and procedures related to Sales returns and credits.  Interact with Customer Service department to ensure adherence.



Freight:

Responsible for maintaining control of freight cost related to all customer shipmentsFollow policies and procedures regarding the processing of vendor freight bills.Monitor and adjust Freight Recovery estimate recorded during billing process.Contact vendors to resolve dispute items on a timely basis.Monitor vendor balances and determine weekly payments.  Interact with Accounts Payable to ensure timely processing

 Other:

Maintain fixed asset systemProvide support for weekly flash reportOther projects and duties to support controller

Basic Requirements:

 

§ 5+ years of relevant experience

§ Proficient in Great Plains Accounting System.

§ Strong PC skills including Excel and Word

§ Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills

§ Ability to self-motivate and work independently

§ Outgoing and energetic

§ References upon request
