Position Description:

The Corporate Advertising Department, located in Pleasanton, California, has an opening for an Account Management Coordinator.Qualifications: 4-year college degree in Advertising or related field preferred.2-3 years Retail Advertising and Marketing experience preferred.Strong PC knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access database software.Broad understanding of print and broadcast advertising, creative and print production, sales promotion, targeted/database marketing, merchandising and retail operations.Excellent project management skills with the ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to prioritize and solve problems.Strong initiative, customer-service focus and excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently, prioritize and handle multiple deadlines.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Coordinate the execution of company wide advertising programs and divisional campaigns.Manage programs within advertising budget parameters, adhering to estimates of expenditures within the budget.Responsible for job submission, item placement and template accuracy of Safeway’s advertising support vehicles and media including, but not limited to, Weekly Insert, ROP, Direct Mail, Radio, POS, ePOS, ISN, and Targeted Marketing.Coordinate Advertising/Marketing support for all new and remodel store activities.Provide internal Advertising/Marketing departments with appropriate and thorough program information for division-specific or department specific initiatives.Responsible for writing and distributing communication of advertising plans, new programs, promotions, and events ensuring the eventual success of Advertising/Marketing programs.Responsible for the development and continual strategic updating of geographic and competitive information for key marketing areas.Work directly with the various internal Marketing Departments on a daily basis to ensure the production of unique and influencing marketing programs.Respond to: Interested applicants are encouraged to submit a resume by visiting www.safeway.com/careers
