Allocation Analyst

Inventory Allocation Analyst, Retail Location: Sandpoint, Idaho
Reports to: Sr. Director of Allocation and Store Planning

Position Statement:
Reporting to the Director of Allocation & Store Planning, this position is responsible for ensuring the financial success of one or more merchandise departments. Work with inventory planners on allocation needs, prepare seasonal assortment plans, execute and adjust replenishment to match sales plan.

Job Responsibilities: Ensure the financial success of one or more assigned merchandise departments by meeting or exceeding sales, inventory and customer service goals i.e., sales, turn, margin and service levels. Understand store, style and size level selling performance for assigned departments and make adjustments accordingly. Must understand store inventory selling trends for size, style etc., analyze and make necessary inventory adjustments to maintain the most cost effective inventory levels. Collaborate with Inventory Planner on assortment selection and allocation. Allocation needs to support sales and presentation. Prepare seasonal assortment plans and execute initial merchandise release i.e. build and maintain assortment flow sheets, department/size grading. Execute replenishment in concert with regular sales review and adjust to match sales plan for end of season. Communicate with store personnel via email in regards to merchandise allocation and assortment needs and adjustments. Develop and utilize strong understanding of store specific and regional sales trends and performance through data analysis and open lines of communication with field counterparts. Execute new store opening process in concert with cross-functional team members i.e. Set inventory levels to match assortment and pro-forma sales plan.

Job Requirements: 1 to 2 years experience as an inventory allocation analyst in specialty apparel retail distribution preferred. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Able to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain deadlines. Good communication skills both written and verbal. Previous experience effectively collaborating across functional areas. Previous experience working effectively in a fast paced environment. Excellent skills in Excel spreadsheet design including visual basic. SQL a big plus. College degree required.
