RE:   Self Checkout Analyst

GROUP:    In-Store POS Team

 

We currently have a position available within POS Team on the Self Checkout Application Team. The Self Checkout Application and its peripherals are considered to be business critical within the Kroger enterprise. This position provides the opportunity to interact with stores, divisions, as well as other groups within MIS such as Network (both Store and WAN), Corporate Information Security and the POS team.

 

There are 8 different versions of Self Checkout software within the Kroger Enterprise. This position will assist in the consolidation of these packages to a single solution to support all banners. The Self Checkout hardware consists of many peripherals including: ipad, bill cassettes, bill dispensers, coin acceptors, coin dispensers and pin pads.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

The candidate will participate as a team member on the Self Checkout team with responsibilities that include: The design, documenting, and testing of Self Checkout system enhancements.

 

· Assist with coordination of code releases between Fujitsu, Xcellenet and KMA users.

· Assist with the testing and implementation of new code releases.

· Assist with support and replacement of the hardware used on Self Checkout.

· Assist with support of various Self Checkout interfaces. 

· Assist with management of item codes in the Self Checkout software.

· Provide training, documentation and support to KMA personnel as needed for all aspects of POS and specifically for Self Checkout.

· Provide rotating off hours pager support for the POS team.

· Work with end users to accomplish many tasks including: facilitate testing approaches, documents and escalate software issues and communicate issues to vendor. 

 

Job Requirements:

 

Ÿ At least 2 years experience working with Window Operating Systems Environment.

Ÿ Good oral and written communication skills.

Ÿ Good Customer Service skills.

Ÿ Strong Team Member and ability to work in a team environment.

Ÿ Highly motivated and service oriented.

Ÿ Ability to learn new technologies and systems quickly.

Ÿ Good analytical abilities and solid problem solving skills.

Ÿ Knowledge of POS ACE System is strongly recommended but not a requirement.

Ÿ Some travel will be required.
