Application Administrator

We are currently looking for Application Administrator in our Enterprise Shared Services. This position is needed to administer and support enterprise level packaged applications
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary responsibilities:
· Responsible for application administration for the following enterprise applications – MA/TPM, Bizlink, Clarity, ADP/Payroll and PowerSource, Attendance Enterprise, Equity Edge, OpenText/Content Explorer, and TradeStone
· Administering, installing, upgrading, apply patches/hot fixes, monitoring, and problem resolution on enterprise server based applications
· Monitor, test, and support connectivity issues for the responsible application servers and their integration components
· Assist with application testing, migration plan development, and migration tasks
· Assist in troubleshooting performance issues and user access issues for the responsible applications
· Maintain OS level security access to application files for the responsible applications
· Coordinate between the application groups, System Administrators, Database Administrators, and the business users on application maintenance tasks
Secondary Responsibilities:
· Manage data archive and purge processes for responsible applications
· Understand and have experience with databases such as ESSBASE, MySQL, MS SQL server, and Oracle
· Provide SOX documentation for all the change requests affecting the responsible applications
· Provide PCI Compliance documentation for the responsible applications and servers
· Provide user community support
· Provide on-call support functions as needed
· Experience in Linux, Apache/Tomcat, Windows, and IIS administration
· Strong understanding of Web Server environments
· Strong understanding of internet protocols and technologies from both the server and client perspective
· Experience with all phases of the systems lifecycle including requirements, documentation, design, development, testing, and implementation
· Detailed oriented and knowledgeable in RDBMS disciplines and system administration disciplines
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills and follow-through
Preferred skills:
· Basic experience working with SQL
· Good understanding of IT security
· Experience with a variety of sources (XML, Oracle, flat file, excel spreadsheets, etc…)
· Understanding in Disaster Recovery implementations and tests
Other skills:
· Experience with scripting – PERL or shell scripting is a plus
· Experience working in a large-scale, retail enterprise applications is a plus
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum of 4 years experience in application administration
