Applications Support Engineer - WebSphere MQSeries

Location: 33729 Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project, Employee Pay Rate: 80,000.00 - 90,000.00 USD /year DescriptionPerforms installation and support for WebSphere MQSeries including backup, recovery, and security. Responsibilities: Installation, configuration, and support of WebSphere MQ Server/Client on Windows Servers and workstations, HP/UX and Sun Solaris. Installation, configuration, and support of currently installed version of WebSphere Integrator. Administration of AppWatch software. Responsible for migration of WebSphere Integrator code into production environment. Responsible for queue manager creation, modification and troubleshooting in development, sandbox, QA and production environments. Assist in the development and enforcement of standards in queue manager builds, as well as the establishment of standardized coding practices.   QualificationsMinimum Requirements: Knowledge of WebSphere MQSeries v5.3 or higher applications. Understanding of WebSphere MQSI v2.1.  Knowledge of Sun Solaris; Windows Server and/or HP/UX system configuration of MQSeries.  Excellent communication and planning skills.  Project management and team lead skills. Ability to work with application teams. 4 year degree in computer science or related field and / or equivalent work experience. May be required to travel by air for disaster recovery.Preferred Requirements: Past usage of Oracle. Windows and Unix / Linux systems administration experience. Knowledge of DB2 and AppWatch. Knowledge of WebSphere MQSeries v5.3 or higher applications. Understanding of WebSphere MQSI v2.1.  Knowledge of Sun Solaris; Windows Server and/or HP/UX system configuration of MQSeries.
