Coordinate design process with support departments. Manage design teams. Create prototype drawings and details. Must have accomplished Autocad and computer skills and possess a basic understanding of building components, materials and construction practices. Experience dealing with building department officials and code research a plus.Qualifications1. Develops basic designs, details and drawings, ensuring the quality and accuracy of construction documents.2. Creates working drawings by use of Autocad CAD software v2007or later.3. Checks and researches files, drawings, general information and codes to ensure drawing and design accuracy. 4. Analyzes and performs tasks efficiently for the design and development of working drawings. Must possess good analytical, written and oral skills necessary to gather, interpret, coordinate and disseminate information.5. Assists in developing design standards and prepares standard prototype drawings.6. Reviews and approves construction drawings in order to ensure compliance with facility criteria (Kmart, Sears or other), scope of work and general code requirements.7.
