Assistant Buyer - Video Games

 

 

GameFly, the leading subscription-based video game rental company has an outstanding opportunity for anASSISTANT BUYER - VIDEO GAMES in our Culver City, CA headquarters.

 

The Assistant Buyer will be primarily responsible for the management of Used Game pricing on the website.  This will include determining the amount of inventory that is available for sale, developing additional sales channels to sell into, and maximizing the sale price realized.  Secondary responsibilities will include: data/shipment tracking, daily sales report generation and maintaining the accuracy of the product database for the website.

 

Responsibilities:

-Perform analysis of excess inventory

-Manage sale of excess to third party suppliers

-Maintain competitive pricing model

-Manage Pre-Played Pricing for On Line and Off Line Sales

-Assist in the development of Marketing Plans for Pre-Played product

-Develop new models by channel to increase profits

 

Secondary operational duties include:

  -Location management

  -PO input

  -New release timing and QA

 

Skills and Experience Required:

-3+ years in video game retailing

-Store experience preferred

-Proficient in MS office applications especially excel and access

-Must be highly analytical and detail oriented
