Assistant Store Manager - Watertown

We operate 36 stores in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest, and are currently seeking an experienced  Assistant Store Manager for our Arsenal Mall store in Watertown!

 

In partnership with the Store Manager, the ASM is responsible for planning and implementing strategies resulting in the profitable operation of the store, and is responsible for the total operation of the store in the absence of the Store Manager. 

 

The successful candidate will have at least 3-5 years of related retail management experience, with previous off-price or department store experience highly desirable, and will have demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.  Strong problem-solving/decision-making skills, initiative, and computer literacy are a must.

 

With a major focus on operations, specific responsibilities include:

 Supervises the operation of the Front Line, Service Desk, Cash Office, Back Office, Receiving/Marking areas, and Housekeeping to ensure the store runs efficiently. Oversees the Human Resources functions in the stores. Train, direct, and work closely with Human Resources Coordinator to ensure all functions are current and accurate. Implements Safety Management Programs. Ensures timeliness and completion of monthly markdowns of selling floor and stockrooms. Controls all store operating expenses, maintains monthly records of all bills and services received, and oversees salary/ wage administration.  Prepares and manages payroll budget. Maintains efficient flow of merchandise through the marking and receiving area to the selling floor.  Maintains floor presentation standards, display presentation, signing standards and monitors inventory levels.
