Reebok International Ltd. is currently looking for an Associate Buyer, Licensed Apparel – Ecommerce/Concept Stores to join our Corporate Retail Merchandising team in Canton, Ma.


Purpose/Mission:
Determine the optimal product range of licensed apparel for concept stores and e-commerce that supports brand representation, sales growth and the commercialization and customization of Regional product working in close collaboration with the North American E-commerce and concept merchandising teams.

Key Tasks:
*Partner with Merchandise Planning to develop sales, margin and inventory plans.  Develop seasonal plans for licensed apparel/accessories that deliver against overall financial plans and achieve gross margin, productivity and brand representation objectives.

 

*Purchase and/or develop e-commerce product in line with the brand strategy and present assortments to retail and marketing teams.  Independently develop assortments that maximize sales opportunities, capitalize on newness and showcase the brand in a balanced fashion.  Partner with store merchant groups frequently to ensure consistent representation of the brand across multiple channels.

 

*Analyze relevant sales, receipt and margin information, particularly sell-through and market trend information, and provide feedback to retail and marketing teams.  Independently evaluate weekly sales and recommend actions based on current trends to chase business or liquidate underperforming product. 

 

*Monitor and report on online and full-price retail market trends and competitor activities and propose/initiate/take actions.  Identify emerging trends in product as well as changes in pricing, promotion and presentation for competitors. 

 

* Communicate internally with various levels of employees in U.S. division and externally with outside vendors.

Prepare open to buy to reflect sales trends.  Adjust buys accordingly.

 

Requirements:
2-4 years in Buying/Merchandising or Product Mgmt with a minimum level of working knowledge of online buying/merchandising  
Industry: retail
Exposure: Consumer Mktg., Digital (e-commerce)

University degree or equivalent
