The Associate Planner is responsible for developing category & lifestyle strategies that align to ship needs based on ship profile.  Develop sound assortment plans that focus on key brands, key classifications and key items.  Manage with support of planning partner the achievement of sales, gross margin and inventory turnover/weeks of supply.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 Seasonal Planning

· Collaborate with product merchant/Planner and operations on strategic direction.

· Develop seasonal sales, margin and mix plans for one segment of a category based on strategic direction and S&GM Planning financial guidelines.

· Develop location-specific sales for one segment of a category and validate with operations. Tie to location profiles and assortment plans.

· Develop monthly financial plans at department level for one segment of a category.OTB, Order Placement and Replenishment

· Provide analysis necessary for the development of the monthly OTB at the department level.

· Complete a monthly stock projection by brand or class and allocate OTB appropriately for one segment of a category.

· Communicate and collaborate with team on purchase decisions.

· Recommend quantities to place of fashion orders (or new items) as required based on stock projection using unit buy plan.

· Review and update the E3 replenishment forecasts and other E3 parameters as required.

· Communicate and follow up with vendors to support merchandise flow requirements.Inventory Management

· Supply SKU team with appropriate initialization information to activate distribution.

· Manage the E3 vendor-to-receiving warehouse ensuring target service levels are achieved.

· Review stock to sales ratios by ship to ensure proper balance and content of merchandise.

· Collaborate with team on promotional and event planning.

· Identify fast and slow sellers and develop action plan with team.

· Provide analysis to report and implement D SKU action plans monthly, or as needed.

· Develop and recommend MD strategy and manage POS budgets to plan.

· Recommend competitive MD’s as needed. 

 

 

Job Skills Required:

 

· Proficiency with office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

· High level analytical skills and the ability to communicate in a clear & concise manner.

· Excellent knowledge of product, the domestic and international markets and brand negotiations.

· Passion for excellence demonstrated through results to or above plan.

 

Required Experience:

 College degree or equivalent experienceMinimum of 2 years of merchandise planning experience in fast paced, results driven organization.
