Business Analyst - Lawson Experience A PLUS

We are currently looking for a Business Analyst to design new IT solutions that improve the business efficiency and productivity through process change and/or IT system changes. In addition, the Business Analyst will communicate with business partners to examine existing business models and flows of data in the business. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:• Working closely with business partners, examines existing business models and the flows of data in the business. • Presents of analysis/findings to business partners, receiving their input to create an appropriate improved IT solution that meets the business needs. • Draws up cost specifications and produce outline designs of new IT systems, specifying the data, files and logical operations the system will perform, and the way data will be viewed by the user. Presents to business partner(s) for acceptance and final approval. Once approved, works with all parties (Business and IT) to execute the solution. • Upon solution implementation, gathers and logs improvement metrics and reviews for effectiveness to ensure the process is delivering to expectations. Liaises extensively with external or internal clients; • Produces project feasibility reports; • Translates client requirements into highly specified project briefs; • Identifies options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability; • Creates logical and innovative solutions to complex problems; • Creates specific proposals for modified or replacement systems; • Presenting proposals to clients • Partners closely with developers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction; • Creates and maintains a testing schedule for the complete system; • Oversees implementation of new systems • Writes user manuals. • Provides training to users of a new system; keeping up to date with technical as well as industry sector developments COMPETENCIES • Skilled at leading and coordinating across diverse teams to achieve desired outcomes • Facilitates team meetings effectively. • Holds regular status meetings with business teams to keep them abreast of progress and set program expectations appropriately. • Keeps program/project team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Strong negotiating skills. • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language. • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed. • Keen attention to detail. • Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities. • Exceptional service orientation. • Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.  EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience. • 5-10 years of Business Analyst Experience in a retail environment. • Proficient with MS Office products * Experience with Lawson required COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Program/Project level documentation. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and program status.
