Buyer, Assistant - Televisions

Responsibilities:

Responsible for assisting the Buyer in the procurement of Televisions, DVD players, and accessories by reviewing vendor products, performing cost analysis and competitive retail strategy and conducting vendor negotiations.  Responsibilities also include developing sales and profit margin plans, maintaining margin and turnover objectives.  Also performs other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.  Occasional travel is required.

Requirements:

A general knowledge of retailing and merchandising techniques is required, as well as a minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience as a Planner, Assistant Buyer, Replenishment Specialist or equivalent position in a high volume wholesale club or general merchandising environment.  Strong PC skills including Excel are required.  Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities are essential.
