Buyer, Boys The Buyer is responsible for achieving sales, gross margin, and profit goals of a specific business through the selection, pricing and promotion of merchandise by utilizing appropriate merchandising and management techniques to maximize the company’s return on inventory investment and space in stores. Develops and implements a strategy, analysis and appropriate reaction sales trend in order to maximize business. Perform research analysis of their market and identify trends and opportunities that can be applied to the core customer. Profile and comprehend core customer to ensure satisfaction. Partner with Product Development to identify key opportunities, working closely to ensure proper fit and quality of merchandise. Manage sales and gross margin. Effectively manage the selection of merchandise in a timely manner. Establish strong relationships with line buy vendors in order to maximize profitability of merchandise and achieve financial goals. Accountable and will manage sales and gross margin for assigned products. Develop and execute seasonal merchandise plans and pricing strategies. Manage and maintain the Open to Buy. Review the sales plan and make merchandising decisions with partnership from VP/DMM. Performs key item projections and review, including replenishment key items, develop assortment plans/line plans that support the business's goals and key item focus. Qualifications must include a Bachelor’s Degree with five to ten years buying experience in a retail apparel environment. Buying experience should include boys and/or young men's, multi unit operation. Prefer private label experience, both direct and domestic, with focus on product development. Requires product driven individual with the right mix of planning, business, and financial analysis skills. Must be aggressive, self motivated, and determined to succeed.
