Job Category: Sales/Retail/Business Development Relevant Work Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Location: Columbus, OH 43219 Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Status: Full Time, Employee Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Buyer, Men's DirectThe Buyer Men's Direct is responsible to develop, implement and champion strategic Internet merchandising initiatives that represents the Brand and is aligned with the business Seasonal Merchandise Strategy to deliver optimum budgeted volume and profit goals. This position requires a broad range of merchandising, marketing, e-commerce, fashion intelligence, project management, leadership and entrepreneurial skills.   Responsibilities: Understand and champion strategic initiatives of the business to create a cohesive product assortment and brand architecture to reflect the overall Brand positioning Develop creative and strategic online merchandising strategies to maximize Internet sales and work with cross functional teams for implementation Skilled in accurate assortment planning, swift product turnover and the realization of high gross profit margins Collaborate with Planning to establish seasonal strategies and identifying growth opportunities Monitor, analyze and report sales results based on financial plans Identify the most effective areas of the site utilizing web-based metrics: visitors, pages, conversions, abandonment, $ generated to improve shopping experience and conversion Analyze Internet performance and monitor store performance for comparison Accountable for direct P&L responsibility Communicate merchandising strategies to Marketing/Creative to develop creative tactics to showcase merchandising initiatives Provide Marketing/Creative team with merchandise selections for promotional/feature placements Collaborate with Marketing on direct contact strategy including emails, banners and offers Work with IT on maintenance and development of the database to support merchandising needs Conduct competitive patterning to identify in-season and future site opportunities Understands fashion trends and can articulate into successful assortment and creative strategies Provide leadership to Merchandising Assistants Manage additional projects as needed Qualifications: Acute sense of brand Strategic and analytical thinker with intellectual ability Ability to analyze and synthesize information, conclusions and recommend actions Ability to develop and build cooperative working relationships Achievement oriented with demonstrated leadership potential Strong written and verbal skills Multifunctional with excellent organizational skills Strong influencing and negotiating skills High taste level with proven talent to create a cohesive fashion viewpoint   Experience Required: 5+ years of related work experience in Merchandising 3+ years of previous Internet experience in online demand generation tactics and strategies Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Marketing/E-commerce Previous P&L accountability experience PC proficiency in Microsoft Suite Proven analytical experience required
