Purpose and Scope: To provide support to the Knit and Sweater Production Department by providing specific information regarding all raw materials associated with all products being developed/produced. Responsibilities: Responsible for monitoring timely approval and receipt of all yarns in accordance with production calendar. Track all proto/sample and stock yarn shipments, review and code vendor invoices, and follow-up with vendors. Involved in yarn testing. Follow up on proto and sample yarn/fabric ordered in addition to ordering/follow up on stock yarn/fabric when not FOB. Post all proto/sample yarn/fabric orders on yarn code list. Responsible for preparing seasonal costing chart to production. Communicate with Polo offices, designers, manufacturers, licensees, and yarn mills. Assists Yarn & Fabric Manager in tracking lab-dips and monitoring color approval status against calendar deadlines. Update and monitor seasonal yarn inventory. Job Requirements: College degree 2-4 years related experience, Yarn knowledge preferred. Strong computer skills. Knowledge of Excel, AS400 (preferred). Good communication/follow up skills.
