We are currently looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, hard working and experienced management who have can-do attitudes and who want to grow with a quality retailer in responsibility, position and compensation.

 

Charming Charlie has a Buyer and Assistant Buyer opportunity NOW available in Houston, TX.



As a buyer or assistant buyer you are financially responsible for a portion of the company’s business, including sales and margin dollar plans.  The Buyer/Assistant Buyer is responsible for going to market to select, purchase and allocate new product.



s Maintain daily operational functions.

s Supports the GMM in driving overall direction and performance of category or department.

s Follow-up on orders to ensure accuracy.

s Provide effective support and assistance to the team process.

s Perform sales, margin, inventory and markdown analysis.

s Prepare and maintain appropriate Merchandising reports and recaps.

s Conduct weekly recap with GMM and President.

s Monitors sales information.

s Consistently review status of orders with Vendors.


Qualifications

s Previous buying experience required.

s Analytical Skills

s Ability to manage through conflict and problem solving.

s Strong ability to negotiate and make decisions.

s Ability to maintain and enhance working and vendor relationships.

s Organizational skills with ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time.

s Must be proficient in Word and Excel.

s Bachelor’s degree required.
