Buying Positions / Retail Fashion Apparel Category

Our client, a national retailer is conducting a search for Buyers and Associate level Buyers in it's corporate office.  This company provides an excellent compensation and benefit package and will pay for relocation of the new employee.  Associate level buyers should have 1 to 2 years as an Assistant or Associate level in buying and the Buyers should have 2-5 years experience as a buyer in a fashion hardline or softline category.  Key Words for buying experience are fashion apparel or fashion athletic or fashion accessories and product development.

BUYER RESPONSIBILITIES:Buying for a category working with product development and sourcing.Sourcing trips and maintaining vendor relationships.Maintaining profitable margins.Accurate evaluation of inventory.Assuring on time delivery.Market evaluations.Direct and provide guidance and ongoing training for Associate level Buyers.

BUYER REQUIREMENTS:2-5 years experience buying in a fashion category.Specialty or Department Store experience in buying for multi unit operations at the national or regional level.Significant category volume responsibility.Willingness to travel.Good negotiation skills.Good computer skills.
