The responsibility of the Catalog and Direct Mail Manager is to manage the development, coordination, maintenance and analysis of direct mail plans for eBags and its affiliated properties

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

· Manage the circulation planning for all catalog and direct mailings

· Develop annual budget for direct mail activities

· Creation of detailed plans for each mailing

· Improve the efficiency and profitability of each mailing via segmentation, data modeling and analysis

· Develop and test optimum mailing strategies for various segments of the house file as well as prospects

· Provide regular management level reporting direct mail programs and health of the house file

· Test and develop new contact strategies

· Negotiate and schedule paper buys in support of direct mail vehicles and package inserts

· Negotiate, schedule and coordinate all aspects of printing and production

· Coordinate catalog pagination and layout with merchandising department

· Coordinate page content including product images, titles, copy and lifestyle images

· Responsible for scheduling, executing and coordinating the catalog timeline including proofing and brand approvals

· Perform analyses of competitive catalogs to understand their strategies and merchandising approaches

· Brainstorm new product ideas and manage development of new products as needed

 

 

Qualifications / Skills Required:3-4 years experience as an analyst or channel manager within a direct marketing organization3-4 years experience with direct mailExcellent analytical skillsDetail orientedExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to analyze data and develop strategic recommendationsExperience working in an E-Commerce company or environment a plusSolid understanding of the copywriting process and strong editorial eye4-year Bachelor’s degree
