The incumbent works to ensure retail store training for specific parts of the business support the drive for business performance.QualificationsResponsibilities" Identify current and future retail store training needs" Encourage retail store training embedment as a part of a high performance culture" Participate with the Retail Store Training team in executing a strategy and tactics to improve retail store business results by developing the retail store training for all retail store associates" Recommend training solutions that address business challenges and are cost effective by leveraging technology, using a systematic approach to training development and providing business oriented measurement of outcomes" Work with business partners, vendor partners, instructional designers and developers to create and deploy custom training solutions to improve associate performance" Promote a culture that clearly emphasizes the strategic significance of continuous learning" Execute retail store training projects and initiatives" Ensure client satisfactionSkill/Experience Requirements" Understands sound principles of instructional design and development" Understands organizational dynamics and business strategy; translates into learning solutions to support the retail store hourly and management populations" Displays strategic as well as tactical perspective" Employs creative, practical problem diagnosis and problem solving skills" Demonstrates effective change management skills" Applies verbal and written communication skills effectively" Possesses and uses negotiation/influencing skills effectively" Displays good marketing skills" Builds and sustains productive working relationships with peers and higher management" Recognizes opportunities and takes action without waiting for specific direction" Maintains flexibility, able to change and implement new processes" Serves as role model for the leadership framework within Sears" Displays strong team and leadership skills" Maintains high personal standard of integrity" Handles sensitive information confidentially and objectively" Displays sound management skills and knowledge" Maintains working knowledge of Microsoft office suite" Prefer a minimum of 4 years of Training and Development Experience" Bachelor degree requiredSears is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
