Color Development Manager

Color Development Manager Location:Sandpoint, ID

Responsiblities:Directs and leads the global color approval process from development to production. Responsible for meeting high standards of color matching and execution. Manages the daily workflow and priorities of color evaluations and color standard processes. Oversees timely operational functions related to color palette development and color card distribution. Evaluates color submittals for consistency to the standard through the defined process, utilizing the spectrophotometer and the light box. Coordinates the development of color standards with design directors and color standard suppliers, including managing the color standards budget and timeliness of the process. Assists Product Development, Merchants, Sourcing, and Design in managing the review of "Commercial Acceptability" decisions as necessary. Regular interaction with Product Development, Sourcing and Design regarding status of production and issues through scheduled and ad hoc meetings. Establishes performance guidelines and standards for suppliers and mills regarding color correctness. Stays current on all new technology to improve the accuracy and consistency of color results. Responsible for consistent and accurate color cards and standards for all brands across classification of business.

Successful Candidate Requirements: Good knowledge of color theory analysis and evaluation techniques. Strong knowledge of established industrial color evaluation testing procedures and practices. Strong trouble shooting and problem solving abilities. Proficient with Color Management Software and color measure techniques on a spectrophotometer. Minimum of 5 years color evaluation experience BS/BA in textiles, chemistry, design, engineering.
