Grainger is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager for our Los Angeles distribution center. The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for leadership and support to distribution operations as the company continues to implement continuous improvement and production excellence initiatives. You will drive process improvements through the identification, development, design and implementation of process improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will have the ability to prepare and facilitate presentations at all organizational levels. In this important role, you will be responsible for developing the facility’s continuous improvement culture. Position Requirements • Bachelors degree • 3-5 years quality and project management experience – distribution environment preferred. • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills are a must! • Experienced in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement. • Strong experience in Statistical Process Control and SPC applications such as Minitab. • Strong presentation skills are a must! • Proven ability to lead projects. • Strong computer skills with experience in the following: Access, Excel, Project and Visio. • Demonstrated problem solving and project management skills.
