As our company continues to grow and expand both on the domestic and global markets, we are looking to add a new player to our team. The Controller will be responsible for the all accounting and financial controls and activities including general accounting, cost accounting, forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting and analysis of the internet/e-commerce operations as well as being a financial lead in business /system process projects.

Responsibilities:Supervise a staff of accounting professionals and provide direction for the day to day activities of the accounting and financial operations.

Preparation and reporting of Monthly Financial Results to operational management which includes Balance Sheet and P&L, Cash Flow and detailed expense analysis on a timely basis.

Responsible for Treasury and Cash Management Operations.

Provide strategic financial and operational leadership on key business and tactical directives within the organization, including profit improvements and operational effectiveness.

Prepare concise and accurate analysis of actual Key Performance Indicators for management review.

Provide timely information on topics such as inventory management, gross margin opportunities, product mix and selection, capital expenditures, and special projects.

Prepare monthly actual variance analysis versus operating plan, prior year results and current forecast which provides meaningful information to allow the internet organization to make informed decisions and drive business growth.

 Apply extensive financial systems knowledge to act as a liaison on financial and operational system improvements between the internet, finance and IT organizations.

 Provide ad hoc reporting addressing emerging business issues and opportunities within e-commerce.

Identify and actively help functional management control expense levels as appropriate, e.g. headcount, Purchase orders, Capital Appropriation Requests, accruals, cash flows, etc

Qualifications:

 

1.  10 years of hands-on retail finance/accounting experience  

2.  Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting with a Master’s preferred

3.  3 yrs experience in a management role

4.  Strong analytical skills

5.  Ability to manage multiple, high priority assignments simultaneously

6.  Hands-on working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP)

7.  Strong written and verbal communication skills

8.  High degree of organization and flexibility in managing tasks and in responding to changes in work priorities

9.  Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information

10.  Experience with Great Plains, preferred

11.  Experience with Cadence (WMS) and MS applications, preferred
