We also offer competitive pay, employee discounts, and excellent career opportunities.In order to be considered for this position, you must complete an online application.Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action EmployerResponsibilities: Best Buy has an immediate opening at its Richfield, Minnesota, corporate headquarters for an attorney to serve Corporate Counsel in its Legal Department to draft and negotiate a variety of contracts and to provide general legal advice on diverse topics including transactions and related compliance and regulatory issues.  Primary responsibilities include: Drafting and negotiating a wide variety of contracts for Best Buy and its (domestic and international) affiliates; Conducting legal research on a variety of topics pertinent to retail sales, services, and other businesses; Integrating with Best Buy internal business clients to understand their business objectives and legal needs; Providing general legal advice to Best Buy internal business clients on a variety of topics pertinent to retail sales, services, and other businesses; Coordinating with and prudently using outside counsel resources for expert opinions and legal needs; and Traveling as needed on a limited and occasional basis.Requirements: JD degree from an ABA accredited law school and a license to practice law (if not licensed in Minnesota must be willing to become licensed in Minnesota) 6 or more years of experience in drafting and negotiating contracts and handling complex transactions. Preferred: 6 or more years of experience in drafting and negotiating contracts and handling complex transactions in the following areas: retail; purchase and service of products for resale; subscription services; procurement; government and education; entertainment; digital media; and online sales of products and services.  For immediate consideration, click on the “Apply Now” button.
