The SCOOTER Store is America’s leading supplier of power chairs for people with limited mobility. Summary: Responsible for networking, relationship building, marketing to increase awareness of local presence, responding to team requests, facilitating adequate and correct documentation while ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction for the Retail Division. The main focus of this position is to support the Local Stores with the entire outside sales process. This position will acquire and retain sales, marketing and product knowledge and participate in and track local marketing events.

Scope: This position involves a moderate degree of job structure. Under moderate supervision, the employee will complete tasks that require self motivation, marketing, home evaluations and working with physicians during the sales process. The employee is expected to follow complicated instructions with limited discretion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Generate leads that close.
• Responsible for marketing company products within an assigned coverage area.
• Work with physician offices to ensure proper documentation.
• Build strong relationships with all local physicians and other medical professionals through marketing and networking efforts.
• Schedule and conduct in-services and demonstrations with physicians, case managers and other medical professionals.
• Schedule and conduct in-services and demonstrations with assisted living facilities, home health agencies, and other senior related service groups.
• Assist in local marketing events.
• Acquire and retain strong product knowledge.
• Answer phones and route calls as appropriate.
• Create and maintain daily spreadsheet
• Inventory control.
• Run reports, compose and type various correspondence and documents as directed.
• Serve as a consultant and product knowledge expert in the field.
• Understand Medicare reimbursement procedures and legalities.
• Daily tracking and communication of all leads.
• Maintain accuracy of customer information in company systems.
• Ensure sales goals are met.
• Perform in-home demonstrations and evaluations when necessary.
• Deliver product that is sold out of the Local Store.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or demonstrated success in outside sales positions (Sales Representative, Account Manager or Sales executive) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Demonstrated outside sales strategy acumen (cold calling, prospecting, lead qualification and closing).
• Strong account and relationship management experience.
• Strong communication skills and professional presentation skills.
• Excellent customer relation skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of managed care environment and terminology.
• Previous sales, marketing and call tracking experience.
• Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
• Must be a motivated self-starter.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Driver’s license and proof of clean driving record

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to lift 60 pounds (lifting, bending and twisting)
• Must be able to travel within the coverage area and travel to other locations to assist during peak workloads; overnight stays may be required occasionally
• Exceptional attendance is a must
• Familiarity with Mobility and Durable Medical Equipment a plus
• Bilingual preferred
