Is responsible for the appearance and organization of assigned departments according to company standards.  Creates displays, color groupings, outfit merchandising, etc. to encourage multiple units per transaction.  Is extremely knowledgeable of Goody’s products, pricing, and promotions and uses that knowledge to assist the customer in selecting items to purchase.  Ensures that part-time Associates are engaged in assisting the customer and in recovering the sales floor. Though not currently assigned keys to the store, the additional responsibility for carrying keys may be assigned at any time based on the needs of the business.(Training and compensation provided for the additional responsibility).  Works a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Is accountable for departmental sales, meeting Units Per Transaction (UPTs), sales, private label credit card, and mystery shop goals.    Specific Responsibilities:§ Creates a positive store environment for Customer and Associates at all times.  Is respectful at all times.  Provides direction to Associates ensuring productivity and focus on the customer.§ Provides a premier level of service to the customer, assisting the customer with selection, promoting additional add-on sales.§ Ensures accurate pricing and signage.  § Ensures department is clean and recovered.§ Knows product, pricing, and promotions and is able to answer questions and make suggestions based on departmental and store knowledge.§ Maintains visual appearance of assigned departments according to company standards.  Creates visual displays, color stories, outfit promotions, etc. according to company direction.  Insures department flow and placement according to company direction.  Places new product on sales floor.§ Meets goals for departmental sales, UPT goals, mystery shops, and visual standards.§ Responsible for implementing all company programs to include loss prevention and safety, and for following all company policy and direction including standards of conduct.  REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION:  High school education is requiredEXPERIENCE:  At least 2 years of retail experience – with one in apparel is required.  At least one year of supervisory experience is required.GENERAL:  A friendly, positive, outgoing personality is required.  Enjoys people and respond in a positive manner to diverse customers. Enjoys fashion and selling.  Stay calm under pressure.  Is conversational and communicative with Customer and Associates.  Helps to create positive morale in the Store and is respectful of others at all times.
