DISPUTE RESOLUTION COACH

We're a $9.5 billion company with more than 8,000 stores in 35 states and growing by hundreds of stores yearly.  We work in an energetic team atmosphere, and believe much of the success of our phenomenal growth is our commitment to developing our employees' potential.  We are committed to building our company with upbeat, talented, motivated persons who will move us toward our mission of "Serving Others." Dollar General's Dispute Resolution Coach conducts in-depth investigations on behalf of employees on issues relating to Final Written Counseling, Demotion, Termination, Sexual Harassment and Discrimination.  The Coach analyzes facts learned during the investigation stage to objectively develop a solution that is fair and also supports Dollar General guidelines and policies utilizing standard facilitation, negotiation and mediation practices.  The position will maintain open communication with legal and field employee relations to facilitate resolution of issues and will maintain detailed notes on each case along with compiling thorough documentation.  In addition, the Coach will maintain department statistics and should have recent experience with employee relations and a keen awareness of employment laws.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with persons of all levels - from basic literacy to executive level.Strong ability to pay attention to detail with above-average organizational and time-management skills.A keen awareness of employment laws.Ability to perform effectively under pressure. Proven analytical/problem-solving skills.Proven facilitation, negotiation and mediation skills.Ability to use (or learn) Word, Excel, Lawson, Applix, Application Xtender, and any software needed to perform the job.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including the ability to listen, respond and electronically document cases.Work Experience and/or EducationBachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.Minimum two years on-the-job experience in an HR role involving employee relations.Compensation will consist of a competitive salary based on your experience, with bonus potential.
