DYNAMIC RETAIL STORE GENERAL MANAGER

We are looking for an experienced retail leader with retail management experience in hard-lines and soft-lines category to join our team of retail store General Managers. The primary focus of this position is maximizing sales and revenue by supervising overall store and production operations, and providing quality customer service and community relations. This is an exciting opportunity to motivate a production and sales team to produce revenue that helps support the company’s mission throughout the community.Responsibilities: 

Customer Service: Presents a positive market-wide image of company stores, demonstrating value-priced products merchandised in a friendly, clean and easy-to-shop environment.

Sales Generation: Exceeds sales goals through excellent customer service, production and merchandise presentation.

Operations (Profit Management): Achieves net revenues through the ongoing evaluation and management of sales and expense control.

Human Resource Management: Identifies, trains and develops employees to maximize potential to achieve the financial and service objectives of the organization.

Mission:

Partners with program staff to provide quality training sites for participants working toward a goal of job placement. Requirements: 

Education:

- Four-year degree in retail merchandising or a related business degree preferred, but a minimum of an Associates degree to be considered.

Prior Experience:

- Minimum of five years of retail experience in a managerial position in a department store, discount store or big box retailer.

- Hardlines and softlines experience required.

- Five-year history of accomplishing budgeted goals

- Occasional travel required Special Knowledge or Skills:: 

- Proven ability to drive sales
- Strong people management, communication and coaching skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, decision making and strategic thinking skills
- Customer service experience
- Hard-lines and soft-lines merchandising skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and using the Internet
- Understand POS register systems
- Ability to recruit exceptional individuals
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritize
- High level of initiative and self-motivation
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure
- Ability to build a strong team
- Perseverance and commitment to getting the job done
Compensation: 

Base Salary - $45,000 - $52,000
