Analyst/Modeler   Basic Functions   The Analyst/Modeler will compile, analyze and report on results to support business needs and goals as they relate to DSW, and the Etail Direct business.  This position could also include the need to provide data-sets built through statistical modeling and/or other advanced data mining techniques to support the web and direct business as well as to the Loyalty areas.  This position will need to partner and work closely with counterparts in the web development area and across a broad range of the enterprise areas to align calendars and manage deadlines for deliverables.  The Analyst/Modeler must be comfortable managing high volumes of work with laser-like focus on timelines and deadlines to meet the functional needs of the business.  They should embrace the speed and flexibility required to contribute to an efficient and success driven team.  The ability to be able to recognize trends and anomalies in data is important.   Essential Functions   Passion for data mining Write and execute database queries and use various tools and techniques to manipulate the data, and then work with business owners to draw relevant and clear business conclusions with potential next steps. Understanding of standard business P&L models and profitability Work collaboratively with all other key areas of the business General Understanding of Web IT technology/database systems   Organizational Relationships   Reports to Manager Customer Insights and Analysis   Education   BS/BA in Math or statistics/and or business related degree   Experience   Minimum 2 years providing statistical analysis in commerce business environment Designing and execution of behavior or product modeling a plus
