Director-Multi-Channel Catalog-Circulation Marketing

 

Ballard Designs, Inc. is a rapidly growing, highly profitable, multi-channel marketer of Home Décor.  We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Multi -Channel Circulation to join our team. The Director of Multi-Channel Circulation will be responsible for managing all marketing activities to maximize sales profits, with full P&L responsibility for catalogs.

 

 

Key Responsibilities include:

¨ Develop catalog circulation strategy that defines frequency, timing, and page counts of catalogs. Identify, execute, and measure marketing tactics to enhance responsiveness of different customer groups, including new customer acquisition strategy. Establish holistic marketing test strategy plans.

¨ Manage circulation planning and reporting, including annual circulation plans, budgets, and projections. Report on sales and profitability of all books, marketing programs, tests, and execute daily, weekly, and monthly management reporting.

¨ Oversee execution of all mailings: circulation development, selection, and execution processes, merge/purge processes and vendors, relationships with list manager, broker, and mailers.

¨ Set analytical priorities and fully leverage new analytical tools. Guide team in proper testing and analytical techniques.

¨ Partner closely with Creative, Inventory Management, Merchandising, and Operations.

¨ Develop channel-specific strategies to drive traffic and response, such as retail direct mail programs

¨ Develop a three-year financial and marketing plan and be instrumental in the development of corporate initiatives.

¨ Identify new business opportunities as well as opportunities to increase share of wallet with existing customers.

¨ Create the framework for ongoing reporting and analysis that is instrumental in decision-making.

¨ Optimize customer response through improved segmentation and new strategies, from modeling to data appends

¨ Develop the strategy and core initiatives for the annual budget and assist Circulation Manager in the creation of the budget from the bottom up.

¨ Build a best in class catalog marketing team through ongoing coaching of staff

¨ Identify opportunities to reduce expenses across all areas, from streamlining processes to renegotiating contract with vendors.

 

 

Requirements:

¨ 7+ years analytically-based direct marketing experience, preferably Catalog

¨ Proven experience in strategic planning and leadership skills

¨ 5+ years experience developing/mentoring others

¨ Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business, or related field

¨ MBA in Marketing preferred
