Director of Executive Training
Our client, an established national retailer, is seeking a Director, Executive Training, to lead, develop and implement programs to drive Executive job related key capabilities and competencies. The position will demand a real passion and focus on leadership training and development.
He/she will be responsible for the following:
· Provide vision and leadership for Executive learning and leadership development initiatives with the ability to drive hands-on tactical activities as well
· Identify and evaluate internal experiences and external programs and systems to create formal ongoing, executive development.
· Design, write and develop executive leadership development curriculums
· Present and facilitate executive development, DMT (Dimensional Management Training) certification, and leadership development programs as well as evaluate their effectiveness on an ongoing basis
· Lead corporate and store executive on-boarding and targeted orientation initiatives
· Liaise with central store, merchant and other division teams in development of appropriate training programs in line with business needs
The qualified candidate must possess the following:
· Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal skills
· Highly engaging, collaborative, and consensus-building style, winning support above across and down the organization
· Ability to function and adapt quickly to a fast-paced and dynamic environment
· Solid experience in designing, implementing and facilitating successful leadership development initiatives and programs
· A strong understanding of instructional design, multi-media training, and knowledge around key learning systems
· Ability to think conceptually and strategically, while maintaining a cost conscious, practical, and resourceful approach to getting the most out of limited time and resources
· Understanding dimensions of learning as it applies to associates in a retail environment, particularly behavioral elements
· Strong analytical capabilities
· High degree of emotional maturity in dealing with ambiguity and difficult situations
· 5-8+ years working in a corporate retail/hospitality or related OD/Program Development setting
· Experience serving central/corporate and field/stores population
· Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree highly desired
