Director of Marketing
SUMMARY
Creates, manages and monitors programs to develop new marketing channels, increase revenue, decrease costs and provide quality customer experience by performing the following duties. Manages and develops marketing staff by example as hands on team player and leader with energy and strong desire for team success. General understanding of IS functions, databases and reporting extremely helpful. Ability to creatively problem solve and generate new ideas and directions is important. Must have skills to work and guide the creative process with the art department and implement new projects, processes and reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Direct Marketing Analysis:Create overall demand budget for Overton’s Management Group (all brands and channels)Develop marketing budget including all supporting documents and ongoing reporting processes.Daily, Weekly, Monthly Sales ReportsGuide ongoing analysis on demand and expenses, including forecasts and recommendations in actionable alteration to improve the performance compared to the budget.Special Project AnalysisDevelops and Manages 3rd Party Relationships for the Package Insert Program, Catalog Ad Sales & Sponsorships and Other Programs Responsible for New Customer Acquisition: Develop New Channels, Exchange Programs and List Opportunities.
Direct the Catalog Marketing Manager (tasks include):Catalog and List Segment Analysis to determine list selections.Creates marketing materials and marketing catalog pages with the Art Department. Provides marketing comments/advise on all other areas of the catalog (but does not manage the art department or merchandising).Develops the Catalog and Fulfillment Strategy, including promotions, creative and circulation.Negotiate, Manage and Improve contracts and relationships with printer, service bureau, list broker, and all other marketing venders/partners.Prepare Catalog Performance Projections (revenue and income projections).Prospect Modeling and Analysis.Monitor USPS delivery of catalogs and USPS Postal Regulations.Works with catalog production partners, approves invoicesMonitors the industry (paper, print, processing) to recommend improved processes or costs.Prepare expense budgets for postage, list processing, list rental and statistical modeling and monitor their progress.Manage and Document exchange relationships with key publishers and other partners.Database Management, Enhancement, Updates, Merge/Purge, Maintenance and Cleaning
Direct the Internet Team:Assists department members in developing and maintaining company web sites.Coordinates marketing activities with buyers to develop web product pages.Coordinates with graphics department to enhance web pages and graphics.Develop new and improve existing web site, e-mail circulation, and new customer acquisition plans.Prepare sales/demand forecasting.Manage Internet inquiry generation.
