Potpourri Group Inc. (PGI) is a multi-brand direct-marketing consumer catalog (circulation and online) company founded in 1963. New catalogs were added through internal growth and acquisitions so that today PGI is one of the leading multi-title catalog companies in America.  Additionally, all of our 12 catalogs (Nature’s Jewelry, Pyramid Collection, Serengeti, NorthStyle, Catalog Favorites, In The Company of Dogs, Potpourri, The Stitchery, Expressions, Back In The Saddle, Young Explorers, and Whatever Works) have their own websites for online ordering.

 

We currently have multiple NEW openings for Freelance Designers for product development. The successful candidates will have design knowledge and design experience within one or more specialty areas as listed:  decorative home goods; giftware; women’s apparel; children’s toys & games; New Age treasures; practical home & garden solutions; collectibles, merchandise with a country theme; gifts for canines; jewelry; and accent indoor and outdoor furniture.  We are also looking for an experienced women's novelty sweater designer, specifically with expertise in intarsia design and production.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

*Technical knowledge and trend awareness across specialty product areas, particularly as they relate to color, themes/categories, materials, textures within the design process.

 

*Strong design and conceptual skills, detail oriented, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

*Ability to partner with merchants and buyers to meet cost and design objectives.

 

*Must be able to adhere to deadlines and be a team player.

 

*Proficiency and experience with Photoshop software.
