We are currently seeking a Field Technician to join our team! This candidate will be responsible for the installation of showroom voice and data cabling for telephones, fax machines, PCs, printers and other hardware in Sleepy's geographic footprint.  Extensive travel required to all Sleepy's showroom locations in  MA, VT, NH, RI, PA, NY, CT, NJ, DE, MD, DC, VA plus any other geographic areas add as part of company expansion.

Responsibilities:
•Proper voice and data cable pulling, termination techniques and cable pair designations based on EIA/TIA standards
•Continuity testing and toning of voice and data cable pairs
•Comprehensive troubleshooting skills for POTS and Ethernet connectivity
•RJ-11, RJ-45, RJ-22, and RG-6 crimping for modular and patch cables
•Interfacing with Service Provider Field Technicians and Engineers for site surveys and service installations
•Diligent inventorying of telephone numbers, circuit id's, and interior data cable labeling
•Aesthetic installation of surface and flush mount jacks, patch panels, wiremold, and wire management
•General network hardware support and replacement for routers, switches, computer equipment et al
•Proactive monitoring of trouble ticket system for pending store problems
•Resolve equipment-wiring issues like desk movement inside of a location
•Install wireless solutions for new locations, pending circuit installs

Requirements:

•3 plus years of general knowledge of computer networking (understanding of IP, telnet, ICMP/Ping)
•Experience with 66, 110, Krone Punch down Terminations
•Willing to travel throughout designated geographical footprint and other areas as needed and work overtime when required
•Working knowledge of tip/ring, analog and digital telco circuit
