Description: This position will provide financial and decision support to domestic logistics, warehousing and vendor compliance. Responsibilities also include preparation of financial documents, budgets, and forecasting as well as financial analysis. · Develop monthly forecasts and annual plans that provide realistic, P&L and capital projections. Quantify the risks and identify opportunities in the forecasts and plans developed. Ensure that projections submitted are timely and accurate. · Prepare freight, warehouse, 3PL, and vendor compliance forecasts and plans. · Analyze financial information and reports to provide clear, accurate and timely financial decision support to management. · Create review and analyze reports, records and directives and confer with management team to obtain the data required for planning and forecasting activities. · Develops, inputs and reconciles are related expense activity within the various financial reporting and planning systems · Develops and publishes reports to support all key expense and productivity metrics of the warehousing and logistics division. · Create and maintain all back up documentation related to all division expense/capital plans, forecasts and results. · Analyze key performance indicators and financial operational metrics to identify trends and improve forecasting accuracy. · Assist in a variety of special projects by providing financial and business expertise, financial information and analysis and scenario modeling. · Assist in coordinating, developing and implementing operational strategies to accommodate growth and changing requirements within the division. · Assist with the development of policies, practices and the attainment of operating goals, as well as evaluate current procedures and practices and implement improved procedures and processes as needed.Requirements Requirements: BS in Finance or Accounting 3-5 years related experience Experience within a warehousing and/or logistics environment Computer Skills: Power user for Microsoft Office Products, specifically Excel, Access and Word. Experience with OutlookSoft or similar planning and reporting software preferred. Other Skills and Abilities: Detail oriented with excellent analytical skills. Proven experience in financial analysis, planning and forecasting. Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with the ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.
