PetSmart is an Equal Opportunity EmployerWith many positions offering relocation packages, learn more about Life in PhoenixJob Responsibilities: Job Duties - Financial Reporting •Gathers information and prepares supporting documentation for external and internal reporting. •Assists in drafting forms 10-Q and 10-K. •Provides research on new accounting pronouncements •Researches guidance to assist in determining treatment for new transactions •Completes statistical surveys required by government entities •Additional accounting and documentation work as needed. Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) •Assists in annual risk assessment •Works with business process owners to maintain process maps and risk and control documentation. •Develops test plans and works with business process owners to test internal controls and evaluate results •Assists in identifying control issues and implementing remediation efforts •Supports external auditors in completing their SOX assessment. •Maintain SOX documentation in Sarbox portal. Qualifications: Minimum Requirements - •Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Accounting •Able to demonstrate solid understanding of GAAP •CPA preferred •2-4 years related work experience, experience with Big 4 public accounting firm preferred •SEC reporting experience preferred •Understanding of SOX •Experience with SAP, MS Visio, and Sarbox portal software helpful Submit Your Resume Online NowPetSmart, INC. is an equal opportunity employer.
