JOB DESCRIPTION
American Apparel is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to lead the Companys financial reporting and analysis team and facilitate preparation of financial statements and regulatory filings.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Draft American Apparels consolidated financial statements while collecting and assembling all supporting schedules and reconciliations required to support the financial statements and footnotes.
Lead the preparation of SEC filings including 10-Q and 10-K reports.
Conduct financial analyses independently or lead a team.
Provide assistance and perform research on technical accounting and financial reporting matters.
Develop formal reporting packages.
Prepare other financial reports as needed for statutory, banking, investment and other purposes.
Assist with financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
Work to improve data quality processes and report design to meet diverse and changing needs for management reporting.
Lead the implementation of financial consolidation and reporting software.
Assume other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.

REQUIREMENTS
Excellent knowledge of GAAP; CPA license is required.
5 or more years of public accounting experience with a Big 4 firm.
Experienced in preparation and review of SEC filings as an auditor.
Highly competent in Microsoft Office. Experienced with mid to high end accounting/ERP systems.
Must be extremely sharp, deadline focused and motivated.
Comfortable with fast-paced, demanding environment.
