Teavana is one of America’s most unique and fast-growing specialty tea retailers. We carry approximately 105 varieties of loose leaf tea, a variety of the highest quality teapots and an assortment of tea accessories from around the world. We currently have 70 stores nationwide and are opening approximately 30 new stores in 2008 and 30 to 40 in 2009. General Managers at Teavana enjoy a wide range of benefits to include a pay for performance bonus system that has no cap on earning potential, generous employee discounts, paid time off and more. To be successful, a General Manager with Teavana should: - Enjoy helping people improve their well-being by promoting the health benefits of tea. - Maintain a detailed knowledge of the companies’ products and services. - Be able to effectively manage in a selling culture. - Recruit and train sales staff as needed. - Motivate, monitor and develop team members (set clear performance goals and targets). - Provide timely and accurate feedback on team member performance. - Lead by example (to include selling). - Develop action plans for consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals and controlling expenses. General Managers are paid a base rate plus a bonus. Base rate typically caps at 45k and is offered according to related job experience. The bonus program is a generous, unit performance driven incentive program with no cap on amounts. Job Requirements: Minimum of 2-3 years managing the overall operations of a retail store (related management exp may be considered). Retail experience is preferred. Proven customer service skills.
Able to work a flexible schedule.
Have an aggressive work ethic.
Ambition to grow with Teavana.
Ability to Multi-task.
