HVACR District Technician - Location: Buna, TXREQUIREMENTS OR QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION (Applicants must possess alt of the following to be considered.) 1. Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and make all necessary repairs to HVAC, Refrigeration, and EMS (DDC) equipment. 2. Technical ability to properly install components such as compressors, motors, bearings, refrigeration components, Novar control strategy components, etc. 3. Thorough knowledge of all the tools of the trade. (Recovery/recycling equipment, soldering techniques, vacuum pump, and multi- meter, etc.) 4. Able to comprehend and interpret wiring schematics for all HVAC/R and energy management equipment. 5. Possess an understanding of all OSHA rules and guidelines, as well as ability to fully understand and willingness to comply with safety practices and procedures outlined in the Wal-Mart guidelines. 6. Must have a working knowledge EPA regulations concerning ¿CFC¿s¿ 7. Must possess the proper and valid certification in compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws. 8. Ability to lift 100 lbs, climb vertical fixed ladders and extension ladders, and move all necessary equipment from service vehicle to roof in order to perform repairs as needed. 9. Able to work alone and to manage priorities and time effectively. 10. Willingness to work as part of a large team. 11. Customer service oriented with good communication skills. 12. Ability to comprehend and use computers. 13. Willing to perform some overnight travel to work in stores/clubs as necessary. (Amount of overnight travel will vary with the size of the assigned district. Travel and per diem are paid.) 14. Willing to perform overnight travel to attend occasional meetings and training events. 15. Graduate of approved 1{AVC and/or Refrigeration training program and/or three to five years experience. 16. Clean driving record. Records check will be conducted prior to hiring. 17. Must be willing to relocate to designated district (if required.) POSITION PROFILE (Position Department Responsibilities)1. Perform all functions listed in 1-17 below (in the requirements field). 2. Provide training for store personnel on proper care and cleaning of the HVAC/R equipment. 3. Maintain certification for confined space entry testing. Provide testing services for all contractors on an as-needed basis. 4. Process all paperwork to regional manager and home office. (Expense vouchers, weekly summary, vehicle logs, refrigerant logs, work orders, refrigeration service logs. etc.) 5. Compile and report to regional manager any needed work to any facilities for submission to the yearly capital expense budget. 6. Respond, communicate, and schedule with store manager in a professional and timely manner, to adequately address their needs and expectations. Ensure service is provided and completed in an acceptable time frame. 7. Remain current on all equipment manufacturer programs and manufacturing deficiencies to ensure all warranty programs are adhered to. 8. Report to Wal-Mart equipment manager all deficiencies and perform all necessary follow ups with respective manufacturer to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner. 9. Properly maintain all company property, (equipment, tools, vehicle...etc.), maintaining the highest standards. 10. Comply with all federal, state, and local requirements. 11. Ensure that core product temperatures meet USDA and Health Department requirements. Educational Requirements: Graduate of formal training course(s) in HVAC, Electrical, and/or Refrigeration maintenance and repair.
