Seeking outgoing, charismatic individuals for a new direct to consumer flooring sales program at The Home Depot.

 

The successful candidates will work with consumers as part of a retail sales initiative designed to boost flooring and installation sales. Sales associates will be paid a combination of base salary and commission and will be eligible for 401k, health, and other company benefits.

 

Job Purpose:

Serves customers by consulting with customers in their home about their flooring needs, selling products to meet those needs, and then arranging for installation of the new flooring products.



Duties:

* Assists customers, obtains orders, and coordinates flooring sales between Home Depot customers and third party suppliers.

* Focuses sales efforts on assisting customers with carpet, hardwood, laminate, and ceramic tile sales and installations.

* Processes orders in conjunction with The Home Depot and third party suppliers.

* Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports and weekly / monthly sales plans.


* Recommends changes in processes and policies with the overall goal to generate additional business.


* Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; making recommendations to management.


* Educates Home Depot sales associates on flooring products and services. Acts as the liaison between service provider and Home Depot for store events and projects.


* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Must have clean background and MVR.

 

Desired Skills:

Home Depot / Lowe's / Target / Best Buy / Circuit City / Wal-Mart / Costco / retail sales experience
