Job Responsibilities:

- The ideal candidate should be an experienced draw-commissioned sales professional with exposure to the furniture industry.

- Value City will offer continuous sales and product training to those ambitious sales pros, without furniture sales experience.

- This position includes, but is not limited to, crossover responsibilities in selling (on a commissioned basis) merchandise, extra income items, and services to new or established customers.

 

Experience:

• Experience in commissioned sales/retail (big-box) high volume (6+ million dollar) store, preferably in furniture

• Experience in upscale home furnishings, consumer electronics, and/or general retail

• Deliver professional sales and service to clients

• Build lasting relationships

• Must possess technical product knowledge

• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to anticipate and constructively resolve objections, conflict or potential problems

• Confront difficult issues with tact and diplomacy

• Detail-oriented

• Work a 5 day work week including some evening hours, weekends, and some holidays

 

Education:

High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Our sales consultants deliver professional sales and service to our clients, building relationships that last a lifetime. They earn $35,000 and MORE a year under a commissioned sales structure that promotes outstanding customer service.  The ideal candidate will be customer focused; have excellent communication skills; be able to anticipate and constructively resolve objections, conflict or potential problems; be able to confront difficult issues with tact and diplomacy; be detail-oriented; and have the desire to learn our product.
