The Human Resource Manager is responsible for ensuring a diverse workforce is hired and that the workforce is treated fairly, consistently and according to the law and company policy. Acts as an advisor to management and as an employee advocate. Develops management bench through education, coaching, and counseling. Helps set The Great Indoors' culture and monitors the morale of the associates. Processes payroll. Oversees all training activities within the store (where applicable. Accountability (this manager is the Key person held accountable): Staffing levels in store to standard, 100% completion of 60-day and annual reviews, payroll, benefits associate retention, morale surveys, and all associate relations issues.Qualifications-Associate relations issues as required -Manages the day to day human resource activities for a team of 175+ associates-Responsible for initial store set up including all related recruiting activities at an off site recruiting office-Works in concert with the management team to retain associates-Implements policy and procedures as related to all human resource activities-Provides timely communication of essential human resource information (benefits, compliance, employment administration, etc.)-Creates and implements solutions related to human resource processes-Develops a high performance human resource team to exceed our internal and external guest needs -Handles payroll issues as required - timekeeping, pay problems, TKC issues -Education, training, management development of managers and supervisors-Creates and exhibits a sense of ownership and empowerment-Recruitment, hiring questionnaires, paperwork -Analyzes business results using the required reports, and develops and executes action plan for improvement-Attends meetings as required-Conducts recruiting activities in the community-Continued education on benefits-Adheres to the great indoors code of ethics-Always represents The Great Indoors by maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor-Miscellaneous duties as requested by senior management-Recruiting, hiring, training and counseling and management in retail experience, basic legal knowledgeBenefitsbenefitsSears is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
