Human Resources Assistant

Production Tool Supply Company, one of the largest industrial distributors in the country, has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Assistant for its corporate office in Warren.

 

The successful candidate will possess a High School Diploma or the equivalent. College course work and previous H.R. Assistant/Generalist experience preferred.  Strong PC skills including MS Word and Excel a must.  Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required. Working knowledge of ADP payroll and KRONOS Time and Attendance systems a plus.  Ability to maintain Company confidentiality a must.

Responsibilities will include: new hire orientation and processing; Maintenance of HR database; Filing and maintenance of employee files; answering telephone calls and other internal/external inquiries; Applicant tracking; Administration of skills testing; Creation and distribution of departmental correspondence; Various departmental and government reporting; Maintenance of hourly/salary paid time off records and overall hourly attendance tracking; Rotation of inter-company motivational posters; maintenance of suggestion boxes and program; distribution of employee birthday cards; new/replacement ID photo badges; Coordination of company events and meetings AND Back up of Payroll/Benefits administration during vacations; Other miscellaneous duties as assigned. 

 

The successful candidate will work with the other members of the corporate Human Resources Staff to provide human resource, benefit, and payroll support to all PTS Group Companies and to insure that all related objectives and actions are met.
